Teacher Workshop: Waitlist

Exploring Essential Habitats of Tampa Bay

Join us for a new workshop series this fall sponsored by the Tampa Bay Estuary Program!  Science teachers in grades 6-12 are invited to participate in a one-day workshop to expand their knowledge of essential habitats to Tampa Bay- oyster and mangrove habitats.  Understanding the biology, ecology, physiology, and their roles in the coastal ecosystems is important as communities continue to work to protect these valuable assets.  Teachers will receive background information, lesson plans, and stewardship opportunities related to this opportunity.  A $90 stipend will be provided at the conclusion of the workshop!

Location:  The Florida Aquarium, Carol J. and Barney Barnett Learning Center, 701 Channelside Drive, Tampa, FL 33602

Counties included:  Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough, and Manatee counties
