Exploring Invasive Species in Tampa Bay:
One-Day Teacher Workshop
Multiple invasive species are impacting Tampa Bay so join us for a
day of learning about this important topic! The day begins at The
Florida Aquarium exploring background content and lesson plans
followed by an afternoon at a local nature park investigating and
removing invasive species. All content provided will align with state
standards. Teachers must participate for the entirety of the program
to receive the $80 workshop stipend.
This workshop is made available with grant funding from the Tampa Bay Estuary Program. Space is limited to 24 teachers.
Who can join? Teachers in grades 4-6 in the following counties (due to grant requirements): Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Polk, and Pasco.
